The Wright Stuff on the road

Matthew Wright

Manchester – 28th- 30th November 2016

For the first time in its 16-year history, The Wright Stuff is heading out on the road for three days.
From the 28th to 30th November, Princess Productions will be taking Channel 5’s longest running daytime show from its London home to take up residence at the iconic Emirates Old Trafford in Manchester – home to Lancashire County Cricket Club.

t’s a unique opportunity for Britain’s brightest daytime show to engage with The Wright Stuff audience in a completely new way.

The show will be the usual mix of fun, phone-ins and topical debate with great celebrity guests from across the North West.

But now there will be a brand new studio audience ready to share their opinions, along with experts and people from across the city to give their views.

Host Matthew Wright said: “I’m lucky enough to meet viewers every day on my travels around the UK – but I can’t wait to hear from new voices on the show itself. I’ve been wanting to take the show out of London for years, and can’t wait to challenge the views of the people of Manchester. I hope this will be the first of many opportunities to get out and about across the UK.”

Channel 5 Commissioner Ninder Billing commented:  "We are really excited to be taking the show out on the road to our heartland audience, hearing views and opinions from people across the UK.”

Emma Hardy, MD of Princess Productions added: “It’s an amazing opportunity to create another landmark moment in the history of The Wright Stuff. We’ll get Manchester and the whole country talking.”

Daniel Gidney, Chief Executive of Emirates Old Trafford added: We’re honoured to have been the venue of choice outside of London for The Wright Stuff, particularly as it’s the first time in its 16-year history. We’ve had a fantastic year with a string of high profile events such as The X Factor, The Stadium Business Design & Development Summit and The Vamps’ book signing and we’re looking forward to hosting many more in 2017. To be hosting Channel 5’s longest running daytime show and welcoming such fantastic guests really cements us as the ‘go to’ flexible bespoke events venue nationally.”
