Newbury Racecourse sells out of hospitality packages thanks to award-winning customer service

Staff with latest award
Newbury Racecourse has announced that the venue has sold out of its hospitality packages for the 2016 Hennessy Gold Cup taking place in November, following a renewed focus on customer service. All tickets for the Hennessy Restaurant were sold a full six months ahead of the historic race, five months earlier than the same point in 2015, and hospitality suites sold out at the beginning of October. For those who are keen to attend the event, tickets for the Racegoers Restaurant are still available.

Building on the Racecourse’s already prestigious reputation, customer service has been a pivotal focus in 2016 and this has been attributed as key in the team’s success.

Earlier this year, the racecourse was the sole recipient of the RCA Excellence Accolade for staff customer service.

The title was awarded jointly by the Racecourse Association and VisitEngland for the excellence the racecourse has demonstrated in the way that it deals with customers on site.

Tracy Skinner, Head of Sales at Newbury Racecourse, commended her team, saying: “As Newbury Racecourse redevelops and improves its facilities, we have also been recruiting a new and proactive sales team and refreshing our approach to selling our acclaimed hospitality offering. Thanks to the hard work of all of our staff, 2016 has been an incredibly successful year for hospitality at the racecourse and we look forward to an equally exciting and prosperous 2017”.

At £375 per person, Newbury Racecourse’s hospitality package for the Hennessy Gold Cup includes a Champagne reception on arrival, a dedicated host, a luxurious four course lunch and classic afternoon tea and an all-inclusive bar of house wines, beers and soft drinks. The Private Hospitality Suite package has a balcony offering unrivalled views of the action and the finest catering enabling visitors to enjoy the splendour of the historic 60th running of the Hennessy Gold Cup – a major milestone in the UK horse-racing calendar.

The Hennessy Gold Cup takes place on 26th November.
