The Royal College of Physicians welcomes 45 visitors to its ‘Experience the Future of AV’ educational event

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) meetings and events team welcomed 45 guests to its ‘Experience the Future of AV’ event this week.
The award-winning venue’s AV learning experience took place on 17th October. All guests were treated to an array of canapés and drinks before being able to enjoy three 20-minute AV masterclasses delivered by Kramer Electronics, OMBEA and VideoCentric.

Each masterclass focused on the latest AV trends with Kramer Electronics delivering a masterclass on ‘the effectiveness of “bring your own device” wireless technology for collaborative meetings’, OMBEA focused on ‘the value of real-time polling and delegate response systems for meeting organisers’ and VideoCentric looked at ‘how to bring people together to share ideas in the cloud environment’.

After all three masterclasses were complete, guests were able to enjoy an hour of networking whilst enjoying a range of street food and refreshments.

The AV learning experience comes as a result of a £100,000 investment in the venue’s AV facilities, including introducing the world’s first wireless digital microphone into the venue, installing HD projectors and HD touchscreens into some of its meeting rooms and launching a new in-house streaming system.

David Parker, Deputy Director at the RCP, comments: “We were delighted with the great turn out for our Experience the Future of AV event. It was a great opportunity to not only showcase the AV facilities the venue has to offer but also to deliver all our clients some valuable content in the form of our three masterclasses.”
