Kensington Palace hosts London & Partners agency dinner

Kensington Palace London and Partners agency dinner
Kensington Palace, one of six venues cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, welcomed 40 guests to a spectacular dinner on Saturday 13 August as part of the London & Partners and The Leading Hotels of the World’s London Summer Weekend.
Representatives from companies including Zibrant, Inntel and B.I. Worldwide discovered the very best that London has to offer over the weekend via a series of teambuilding challenges and product updates, before enjoying dinner at Kensington Palace.

As part of the quintessentially British evening, guests were welcomed into the Sunken Garden by a guitarist for drinks and canapés. The secluded and tranquil garden provided the perfect space for guests to make the most of the weather and enjoy some networking.

For dinner, guests were seated in the King’s Gallery, the palace’s largest and longest room which was first built to showcase King William III’s finest paintings. Pinstripes & Peonies provided a series of low matt grey bowls each filled with a blend of UL grown, fragrant roses finished with softened foliage. These were alternated with cut glass lanterns filled with flameless candles, while the tables were finished with tea lights, all keeping with the quintessentially British theme.

Event caterers Food by Dish provided a distinctive menu fit for the occasion with a starter of lobster tail, yellow blistered tomatoes, avocado puree and English garden leaves. A main course of fennel rubbed pork belly, hay smoked pork loin, black pudding bon bon, crackling shard, piper mash and sprouting broccoli was followed by a trio of English desserts – apricot Eton mess, apple and toffee crumble tarts with Cornish clotted cream and chocolate and butterscotch pudding pots.

During dinner guests were kept entertained by the soothing and relaxing notes of a harpist provided by Prelude Entertainment.

Alex Donnelly-Palmer, Events and Operations Manager at Kensington Palace, says: “We were delighted to host the London & Partners and The Leading Hotels of the World’s agency dinner on Saturday evening. We wanted to give guests a quintessentially British experience at the palace and this was certainly achieved. The fantastic weather meant we could make use of the enchanting Sunken Garden for the drinks reception, while the King’s Gallery set the scene for a royal banquet.”

Milan Thakrar, Business Development Manager - Commercial Events, Historic Royal Palaces, adds: “This is the second time we have welcomed agents to one of our palaces as part of the London Summer Weekend. It was fantastic to showcase Kensington Palace and provide a truly unique backdrop to the evening. Our partners shared our vision to provide a quintessentially British experience and helped us deliver a truly memorable event.”

Historic Royal Palaces Event Solutions were responsible for all aspects of production on the night.
