Andy Parsons to replace Marcus Brigstocke as host of EVCOM Screen Awards 2016

There's a change of host for the EVCOM Screen Awards.  Andy Parsons will now host the ceremony at the Lindley Hall in Westminster on Thursday 28th April, after Marcus Brigtocke had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances.

Andy has featured in numerous radio and TV shows including Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, QI, Saturday Live, The Stand Up Show, The Comedy Store, They Think It’s All Over, The PMQ show, Scrooby Trevithick and Parsons & Naylor’s Pull-Out Sections.

He started his career writing for Weekending and went on to become one of the main writers on the ground-breaking Spitting Image satirical puppet show.

Andy has performed his stand-up all over the world from the prestigious Montreal and Kilkenny comedy festivals to touring Australia and New Zealand.

EVCOM Chairman Steve Garvey said: "Andy Parsons is a legend! Not only is he an outstanding entertainer with sardonic wit and perfect comic timing, but he’s also stepped in to our industry’s big night at short notice! With Andy as our host, we’re all set for a fabulous evening.”
