Natural History Museum unveils new Approved Supplier list

The Natural History Museum has revealed a refreshed Approved Supplier list for 2016 following a competitive formal tender at the end of last year. The team are welcoming wedding and corporate event caterers Alison Price, Urban Caprice and Zafferano to the fold to present an increased range of styles and budget options to organisers.

Nigel Mullins, Senior Operations manager at the Natural History Museum explains: “The next two years will be an exciting time for the Museum and our team of specialist suppliers, with notable changes being made to refresh our event spaces including a day time offering in the Flett Theatre and the Blue Whale taking centre stage in the Hintze Hall. We have appointed companies that have proven their ability to operate in the unique surrounds of a Grade I listed building and can provide spectacular setups, to exceed the clients expectations, in a short timescale.”

This list of suppliers will be in place until the end of 2017, during which time all of the Museum’s refurbishments will have been completed.

Lucy Meehan, Senior Events Manager at Natural History Museum comments:
“People might not naturally associate the Museum with smaller event gatherings or elite parties so we will be bringing this to the fore for 2016 and 2017 by making our galleries more accessible for private viewings. We are also looking at how we can enhance our events with input from our scientists to provide tours of behind the scene spaces to really give guests that night at the museum feeling.”
