“Throughout December, The Brewery has been welcoming party guests to their Apostles of Anonymity Christmas extravaganza. As the final winter parties come to a close next week, the grade-II listed venue has served 14,205 covers over 75 parties and 17 days of celebrations.

Guests were invited to join the secret society of masked Apostles, and the venue was decked out with deep red velvet drapes, chandeliers and entertainment including magicians, an opera singer, silhouette artist, fortune teller, ring juggler, street and ribbon dancers.

A specially prepared three course seasonal menu, created by food director Tom Gore and his brigade, included a choice of starters from Salmon terrine; Celeriac and sweet onion soup; Beetroot salad and sorbet; Coronation quail with ribbon salad. Mains of Coffee cured beef, horseradish, sweet potato mash; Bubble and squeak scotch egg with winter warm root vegetables; Belly of pork and black pudding. Desserts consisted of plum and pear Eton mess; Spicy bread pudding with butterscotch, vodka and crème fraiche sorbet; Dulce de leche cheesecake, red currant delice, blackberry macaroon and green apple sorbet.”
