P-P-Pick up a world record! ‘Largest gathering of people dressed as penguins'

A waddle of over 600 Londoners dressed as penguins broke the Guinness World Record  for the ‘Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Penguins’ in an annual fundraising activity organised by Richard House Children’s Hospice.  
The group which included the team at Holiday Inn London - Stratford City (pictured), walked 2km around More London.

Mary Meekings, Head of Community & Events for Richard House said: “We appreciate the continued support the Holiday Inn London-Stratford City team have given us over the years. This was our fourth annual Penguin Waddle and we managed to recruit a total of 624 Penguin Ambassadors, almost doubling and breaking last year’s record. We want to congratulate and thank everyone who helped us and look forward to setting another record next year!”  

Raising money for local children’s hospice, Richard House,  Steven Cowie, General Manager for Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites London - Stratford City said: “I am so proud of my team who have not only raised money for such a great cause, but have earned us a place in the Guinness World Records”.  

Staff at the hotel; Maggie Collins, Charlie King,  Richard Bartfield, Aimilia Vasilikou,  Laki Amani Kaur, MD Chowdhury, Annabella Ragonton, Jonathan Vasquez, Sohaib Ali waddled their way around The Scoop at More London breaking the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Penguins’ whilst raising money for the hotel’s local charity.
