Butlin’s secures third year of double-digit growth

Butlin’s announces its best year’s sales ever within the MICE sector today, achieving its third consecutive year of double digit growth. Having increased by 35% from January 2015 to date, this means that, since re-entering the market three years ago, the division has grown by a staggering 97%.

The Conference & Events growth reflects the continuous investment into resort facilities and expansion of its corporate offering which has attracted a host of new and high-profile clients including internationally renowned automotive brand Rolls Royce, leading pub and brewing company Greene King (UK) and global confectionary business The Wrigley Company (a subsidiary of Mars Inc.).

The holiday company’s exclusive hire option has continued to prove extremely popular amongst organisers looking to hire large venue spaces, accommodation and activities on one site, removing the need for complicated logistics. A number of nationally recognised FTSE listed retailers are amongst the satisfied clients who have hosted residential private hire events at Butlin’s resorts over the past 12 months enjoying exclusive use of the conference venues, hotels, restaurants and amusements for a unique corporate occasion.

Not only is Butlin’s Conference & Events celebrating financial success this year, it has also been recognised by its peers, scooping three top industry awards for its venues and marketing communications. Butlin’s Conference & Events was awarded gold for ‘Best Brand Marketing Campaign’ and silver for ‘Best Brochure’ at the annual ‘Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA)’. The Bognor Regis resort was also awarded the title of ‘Best UK Conference Venue’ at the annual ‘Conference & Incentive Travel Excellence Awards’.
