The Deck at the National Theatre holds London Breakfast Meetings Week open morning

Event planners and London venues united for a morning of breakfast brilliance at a London Breakfast Meetings Week (LBMW) event held at The Deck at the National Theatre.
The open morning event on Tuesday 6 October was held to celebrate the second annual LBMW, which is running from 5-9 October.

The Deck, which announced its support for the campaign earlier this year, showcased the wide range of possibilities a breakfast event can bring, from boosting brain power with a balanced breakfast to morning mindfulness and wellbeing.

Guests were entertained with a host of interactive activities designed to bring creative morning meetings and health and wellbeing to the top of the breakfast agenda.

Yogasphere, a London-based company dedicated to providing corporate yoga classes specifically designed to fit around your working day, ran 10-minute workshops for guests to teach them about the benefits of daily yoga sessions.

Author and self-confessed health food fanatic Sarah Malcolm debuted her new book, Happy, Healthy and Hungry, while offering up fantastic tips and tricks to get the best out of every meal, including refreshing breakfast smoothies and all-natural granola.

Guests were treated to a mouth-watering offering from the National Theatre’s in-house catering team under the direction of executive sous chef Jason Wild. Tempting breakfast bites included a full English breakfast tart, DIY granola station with fresh fruit skewers and mini bacon rolls, all washed down with a refreshing breakfast cocktail from the customisable prosecco bar.

Speaking on the success of the event, Charley Taylor Smith, head of hospitality events and commercial business development at The Deck, says “It was fantastic to bring event professionals together with our fellow London venues to experience how effective and productive a breakfast event can be. We are thrilled to be supporting London Breakfast Meetings Week and the positive responses we have had have really shown what great opportunities there are to host more breakfast events.”

London Breakfast Meetings Week aims to highlight the benefits of breakfast events for businesses and how hosting morning meetings can increase revenue for venues.
