Dartmouth’s unique waterfront Food Festival

Celebrity Chefs at Dartmouth Food Festival
Dartmouth’s historic harbour comes alive this October when the annual Dartmouth Food Festival brings over 20,000 visitors and over 100 local and regional food and drink suppliers, restaurants, celebrity chefs and food writers flocking to this beautiful Devon town.
A stunning waterfront environment, historic streets and the sights and sounds of the sea provide a memorable setting for a food festival that is now of regional significance and an ideal day out for both groups and individuals.

Visitors to the Festival will be able to explore food markets and tasting huts, sample and purchase produce from scores of speciality food and drink producers including Bread of Devon, Cornish Cream Liqueurs, Dartmouth Fine Foods, Salcombe Dairy, the South Devon Chilli Farm and the South Hams Brewery, to name just a few.

Participating celebrity Chefs are led by Mitch Tonks (The Seahorse) and include Nick Evans (Rick Stein's St Petroc's Bistro) and Gelf Anderson (The River Cottage) providing Festival-goers with plenty of food tasting opportunities and inspirational ideas for new recipes and menus.

A royal harbour since the Crusades, Dartmouth is just 15 miles south of the A38, roughly half way between Exeter and Plymouth, and itinerary planners might also consider combining a visit to the Dartmouth Food Festival with a trip to nearby Brixham which, like Dartmouth, benefits from Business Improvement District (BID) status, the hallmark of an enterprising and thriving business community.

The Dartmouth Food Festival runs from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th October.
