Event Spaces at Wellcome Collection, the free destination for the incurably curious, has announced a 92% client retention rate following its closure of the event spaces for its £17.5m refurbishment.
The venue, which reopened in March, housed their clients in locations including Royal College of Physicians, RIBA and BMA House.  The venues worked together to house the variety of conferences, events and drinks receptions in Wellcome Collection’s calendar.

The renovation was masterminded by award-winning architects Wilkinson Eyre, whose designs were inspired by the destination’s reputation of highlighting connections between medicine and art. The Conference Centre and its centerpiece - the Henry Wellcome Auditorium - were all part of the renewal. As well as The Medicine Now Gallery, the venue also boasts a new dynamic staircase, sculpted from a 17.5 tonne steel structure spiraling through three floors, connecting the refashioned spaces and galleries.

Daniel Caleb, event spaces manager says; “Now that our refurbishment is complete, the future looks even more exciting for the Wellcome Collection. We are so grateful to the venues who hosted our events during the refurbishment and for the loyalty our clients have shown. It shows that when venues work together, it benefits everyone.  This strong retention rate coupled with the refurbishment, demonstrates our on-going commitment to improving the delegate experience.”
