Butlins are encouraging Diversity in the workplace

In a world first, Butlins Conference & Events are inviting delegates to don their dancing shoes and join them for a conference, meeting or event like no other... World renowned street dance troupe, and former Britain’s Got Talent champions, Diversity are now available to hire at Butlins for once-in-a-lifetime team building experiences.

With a variety of classic street dance moves adapted and devised with business teams in mind, the routines created and led by Diversity will be composed of energetic but simple street dance steps, teaching delegates an enjoyable routine set against a soundtrack of fun-filled, fast tempo music.

Ashley Banjo, Diversity’s head of choreography comments: “The sessions we have crafted are by no means meant to be daunting or intimidating; that is not the aim. Instead we wanted to create all incorporating classes that anyone can try no matter what their individual abilities may be. The goal is to build relationships through dance and ultimately to have a laugh with the people you see and work with every single day, outside of the sometimes stifled office environment. I cannot wait to see the CEOs in suits giving it all they’ve got!”

It is now widely accepted that team building activities can enable employees to function more effectively, and that group physical exercise is an ideal tool to encourage delegates to bond and work together, as well as bring out the best in themselves and each other, a core proposition for Butlins Conference and Events. This, combined with dance’s ability to release inhibitions and get people to enjoy themselves, makes Butlins and Diversity’s brand new offering a unique and hugely beneficial tool, that culminates in helping to improve productivity, increase motivation and encourage creativity.

Simon Jones National Sales Manager at Butlins Conference & Events said of the new classes, “At Butlins we are always trying to think outside of that box to bring our delegates something new and exciting in this ever evolving marketplace. We are always looking for ways to change perceptions about where and how conferences should be held and we believe this new offering with Diversity helps to prove this!”

As well as being some of the UK’s best loved resorts for domestic short breaks… Butlins are also a firm favourite with British businesses looking for space to run meetings and events with a difference. Everyone from Waitrose and MG right through to Elizabeth Arden and Sky News have called upon Butlins to help them out with a conference, product launch or teambuilding day. With three coastal resorts in Bognor Regis, Skegness and Minehead, Butlins Conference and Events pride themselves in doing business with an added pinch of fun and bringing out the best in everyone who visits.

Prices and booking are subject to Diversity’s schedule and availability. Prices will be given on application. Please note, due to TV commitments Butlins cannot guarantee Ashley Banjo will be available.
