First MICE event puts Lets Race on the podium following outstanding delegate feedback

Last month Lets Race, the UK’s only full motion Formula 1 Simulator Centre, hosted their first ever MICE open day and has since seen an increase of 22% in corporate bookings.
Over 15 companies from across the UK attended the event at Lets Race’s state-of-the-art facilities in Horley, Surrey. Throughout the day delegates were not only treated to an inspirational talk from BT Sport’s presenter Tom Gaymor, on the benefits of using motorsport to encourage team work and boost morale, but they also got to take part in a variety of activities available at the centre.

From challenging their speed skills on Lets Race’s Pit Stop Challenge and Scalextric track to testing their reaction times on the Batak wall, it was clear to see that everyone enjoyed their day at the unique venue.

The competitiveness between companies became truly evident though when attendees stepped into one of the centre’s 10 simulators and took to the grid for the final race of the day -  making sure they made full use of each car’s potential to hit speeds of up to 200mph. With three qualifying rounds followed by a final race show down participants were so eager to continue racing that they remained at the centre for over six hours!

Feedback following the event indicated that over 85% of attendees plan to book either a corporate event or personal race day at the venue in the future with comments including: “A really great day out and very pleased that I got on to the podium. I would definitely recommend Lets Race to others, indeed I already have.”

“Excellent day, great venue thank you – I shall be back.” Ben Stephenson, Commercial Manager at Lets Race, commented: “We were delighted with the response from our MICE open day. It was wonderful to receive such positive feedback, especially as this was the first event of its kind we have held at the centre. Motorsport events whether they are for team building, client entertainment or product launches, are incredibly conducive in the corporate world. It is not only perceived as a luxury sport which can impress delegates (both in the UK and oversees) but Lets Race offers a unique and most of all fun and interactive activity that stands out from the rest.”

Lets Race are set to host further MICE open days throughout 2015. To find out more or to register your interest in a corporate event at the venue please call 01293 826 800.
