Foo Fighters return to Emirates Old Trafford

American rock band Foo Fighters will return to Emirates Old Trafford next year after previously headlining the venue in 2006. The band, led by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl, will play at the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club on 27 May 2015 as Emirates Old Trafford marks its return to full concert hosting status following a £45 million redevelopment of the ground.

LCCC Chief Executive Daniel Gidney said: “We are absolutely delighted to host one of the world’s leading rock bands at Emirates Old Trafford. Foo Fighters have a massive fanbase in the United Kingdom and we are thrilled to be one of the venues for their UK tour.

“Emirates Old Trafford has hosted some of the biggest acts in pop music and following our redevelopment we are pleased to return to full concert hosting status with one of the most famous bands in the world.”
