Brighton Dome chosen to host  2015 World Muscle Society Congress

Brighton Dome, one of the most versatile and stylish venues in the South, has been chosen as the host venue for the prestigious 2015 World Muscle Society Congress.
The congress takes place in a different country each year, enabling scientists and clinicians in the neuromuscular field to share knowledge, collaborate and network. The event will take place from 30 September to 04 October 2015 and expects to attract around 500 international delegates.

The entirety of Brighton Dome has been booked to host the congress including Brighton Dome Concert Hall for the main congress sessions and Brighton Dome Corn Exchange for an exhibition and refreshments for delegates. Brighton Dome Café-bar will host break-out sessions and Brighton Dome Studio Theatre has been booked as an overflow space.

Clare Beach, Managing Director, Azura Events Ltd and 2015 Congress Secretariat, World Muscle Society, explained: “We wanted to do something different with this congress and showcase a part of England that is fun and interesting. Our congress programme allows for several free evenings to make sure that our delegates have plenty of opportunities to explore all that Brighton has to offer.

“We were impressed by Brighton Dome and its ability to meet all of our requirements in terms of capacity, size, location and facilities. It was the perfect choice for our congress, not least because each room that we booked is a few steps from the other. I’m certain the historic look and feel of the building will capture the interest and imagination of our delegates.”

Andrew Comben, Chief Executive of Brighton Dome & Brighton Festival commented: “We are all so pleased that Brighton Dome has been chosen to host such an important congress and we are looking forward to welcoming the delegates next September.”
