Jenius Social, the new food hub is now open in Islington. The versatile space offers a fully flexible kitchen for group cooking and demonstrations together with a vibrant dining space and deli all specially designed to offer brilliant corporate events, team away days, exclusive private dining and complete venue hire.

The social food hub, which is the brainchild of founder and owner Jennifer Yong, has teamed up with the best industry experts and food producers in a bid to connect everyone from beginner to gourmand through a multitude of food and drink offerings.

Bepsoke business meetings
Book your business meeting at Jenius Social and the flexible space can be set up to your specific needs: traditional boardroom (seats 20), theatre-style (seats 50) or cabaret (seats 30). Flooded with natural light from floor to ceiling windows, the dining room comes with state-of-the-art technology including high-speed wireless internet and flat-screen TVs ideal for presentations.

Tea, coffee and water are included for all meeting room bookings or for something more substantial head chef Malcolm Emmanueil can prepare breakfasts, buffet lunches or even sit down dinners with wine or cocktails.

Team building at Jenius Social
Never be bored at a team-building event again. Jenius Social has a range of creative cookery-based classes designed by experts to get groups interacting and working together with food, all designed to improve communication, develop problem-solving abilities and encourage staff to think outside the box and be creative in their approach to challenges. Bespoke masterclasses in wine & cheese, cocktail making, chocolate, whisky as well as made-to-measure cookery classes (either hands-on or demonstration), ranging from Thai to tapas can also be arranged.

Highlights include:
Tasty Brands – Cupcakes, Macaroons or Cookies: In this apprentice style challenge the team will be split into groups to go head to head in baking, decorating and packaging a selection of sweets. Teams will create their own logo, branding & marketing strategy, set the retail price and work out their profit margins. Tasty Brands – Cupcakes, Macaroons or Cookies (The client can choose one out of the three). Duration: 2 hours cookery. 30 minutes for strategy, branding and marketing. Cost: £70 per person (minimum booking 10 people).

Mystery Box Challenge: Teammate trust and problem solving will be put to the test in this race against the clock challenge. Groups will go up against each other to create a meal from a mystery box of ingredients. At the end of the session, guests will sit down and dine together and the group with the best dishes will receive a prize. Cooking Challenge with a mystery box. Duration: 2.5 hours. Cost: £70 per person (minimum booking 10 people).

Cognitive Cooking: One for the problem solvers, groups (of up to 24) will be divided into teams and presented with problem-ridden recipe cards. Think recipes with no measurements, no cooking method, or with puzzles to solve and hidden clues to crack. You’ll have two hours to perfect your menu before the Jenius Social team tests each group’s food and awards the best with a prize. Cognitive Cookery. Duration: 2.5 hours. Private Dining
Impress your clients or staff with an intimate private dining setting at Jenius Social. Talk to a member of the team about creating your event to include exclusive venue hire, your own bespoke menus from canapé and buffet to sit down banquets created by our in house head chef.

Jenius Social has a fully stocked in-house deli filled with a range of reasonably priced wines all available to be tied into any sort of package.
