De Vere Venues kick off World Cup 2014 for delegates across the UK

De Vere Venues, the UK’s No1 provider of conference, meeting and event space is kick starting the 2014 World Cup with a series of match screenings and football themed events across the 35 strong venue portfolio.
Guests visiting De Vere Venues including Staverton Park, Wychwood Park, Hartsfield Manor, Horsley Park, Gorse Hill and Wokefield Park won’t miss a single goal this summer, with matches during both the group and final stages of the tournament being shown live from Brazil via state-of-the-art AV and HD TV equipment.

During June and July, De Vere Venues Energy Stations will provide football themed sweets and snacks for delegates to devour before kicking off their own meetings, and specially designed dishes will feature in restaurants across the group with international favourites making a special appearance on the menu to coincide with the matches being screened that day. For those looking for a gourmet style stadium experience, deluxe burgers and bowl bites will also be on offer. Bar promotions, including a 2-4-1 delegate offer at Wychwood Park will be available during early evening games, with Brazilian Brahma Beer being the tipple of choice in many of De Vere Venues bars after working hours.  

Taking the sporting theme even further, Wokefield Park in Reading will be offering an exclusive World Cup Golf Package, with a reduced Play & Pay golf package available over the summer for just £19.66, in honour of the year in which England scored their way to victory, bringing the coveted Jules Rimet trophy home.  

Similar golfing offers will also be available at Staverton Park, Northamptonshire, who are hosting private viewings on match-days for businesses looking to host clients and colleagues alike.  

Client sweepstakes and staff ‘football fancy-dress’ days will also come into play over the World Cup season, with proceeds going to charities including the Beyond Food Foundation which works with people who have been at risk of or experienced homelessness to motivate and inspire them to gain meaningful employment within the hospitality industry.
