The UK’s highest-ranking police officers and crime commissioners are to meet at Harrogate International Centre (HIC) after the venue won two high-profile conferences.
The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) and the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC) are set to bring their annual meetings to HIC in 2014, with both expected to come under close media scrutiny.

Next month’s ACPO conference returns to Harrogate after previously being held there in 2011, while the APCC event comes to HIC for the first time in November.

HIC director, Simon Kent said: “These are two great high-profile signings for HIC in what has been a very busy month for new contracts.

“It’s good to welcome the ACPO delegates back to Harrogate and particularly pleasing to see the Police and Crime Commissioners as a new client with their autumn conference.”
