World Forum launches new “Hosting the World” campaign

The World Forum is launching a new campaign with the slogan “Hosting the World”. In the venue's 45-year history, many famous public figures have come to the World Forum.
For instance, Neil Armstrong spoke at the “Meet the Future, Science & Technology Summit”, while Frank Sinatra and Miles Davis have been among the musical legends to grace the World Forum's stage and Hillary Clinton made an appearance during the International Conference on Afghanistan.

And very recently, too, while hosting the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) on 24 and 25 March of this year, the World Forum had the pleasure of welcoming all the most prominent world leaders, including US President Barack Obama.

The World Forum and The Hague are working together closely to promote the city as the International City of Peace and Justice with a focus on attracting large-scale international conferences. The campaign is fully in line with the goals of both the World Forum and the Municipality of The Hague.

‘I feel that the strength of our new campaign lies in the power of its personal approach. A number of World Forum employees are pictured next to prominent public figures who have visited the venue. The employees in question were actually on duty during these visits. For example, our Safety & Security Manager, Marije, is pictured next to the text “Obama was here”, while our Duty Manager, Annet, reminds us of Hillary Clinton's visit,’ said Kirsten Vosmer, Commercial Manager of the World Forum.
