Lord’s Cricket Ground dons black-tie for alfresco summer parties

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) has confirmed two packages for summer party venues at Lord’s Cricket Ground and invites guests to dress in suits, ties and cocktail dresses to celebrate the Ground’s 200th anniversary.
Event bookers are invited to host summer receptions and parties in a trio of alfresco venues within the Ground during its Bicentenary year, either on the airy Pavilion Roof Terrace, the Mound Stand Terrace or in the rose-adorned Harris Garden.

The Grade II* Listed Pavilion’s Roof Terrace provides up to 250 guests with sweeping views over the outfield, while the tented Mound Stand Terrace can accommodate up to 350 guests. For more intimate receptions, the sun-drenched Harris Garden has a capacity of 70-200.

As part of the evening, guests will enjoy a sparkling wine or Pimm’s reception, either a canapé or bowl food menu as part of the Reception Package, or a barbecue menu featuring beef burgers and piri piri prawn skewers as part of the Summer BBQ package, along with unlimited house wine, beer and soft drinks.

Nick Kenton, Head of Sales at MCC comments: “During this commemorative year at Lord’s, we’ve seen several organisers looking to draw on our Bicentenary for their events. To enable guests to align their celebrations with the Ground’s we’re pleased to introduce a formal spin on summer events, accompanied by all of the prestige that is associated with the venue.”

Lord’s summer parties are available to book now and prices for the Reception Package start from £65 + VAT per-person, while the Summer BBQ package starts from £75 + VAT per-person.
