Arundel Castle in West Sussex has been selected to host the final night dinner of a nationwide treasure hunt rally sponsored by VisitEngland, Avis and the Motorhome Rental Group.
The ‘Search for England’s Treasure’ invites participants to discover England’s most exquisite cultural, historical and heritage sights. The five day escapade involves clue solving and challenges for participants to compete in to win the grand prize of a £500 donation to their favourite charity.

As one of the largest and most complete castles in England, Arundel Castle is a jewel in the crown of UK visitor attractions and as such, an ideal choice to host such a prestigious event.

Castle Manager Bryan McDonald commented: “We are honoured to have been invited to host the inaugural Search for England’s Treasure final dinner and look forward to welcoming participants from the UK and overseas to our historic Castle.”

Steeped in 1,000 years of history, Arundel Castle offers a full day out with guided and free-flow tours of its finely preserved rooms including the Baron’s Hall, 14th Century Catholic Fitzalan Chapel, Regency Library and Victorian bedrooms. Visitors also have the opportunity to ascend the Norman Motte and Keep and enjoy The Collector Earl’s Garden, which was opened by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2008.

Two rallies will take place, the first between 09-13 June and the second 30 June–04 July.
