Best of UK’s business events industry showcased to global buyers

More than 100 global buyers from across Europe and North America experienced the best of Britain’s events industry, during VisitBritain’s MeetGB event held in London last week.
The two-day event showcased why the UK should be the destination of choice for conferences, meetings and incentives. It saw more than 6,700 one-to-one business meetings take place between UK conference product suppliers and international event planners.

Growth in 2018 Summer Party market predicted

Lime Venue Portfolio is looking ahead to a strong summer as meetings and events planners look to combine business events with more seasonal summer parties and outdoor incentive programmes. The specialist venue group has seen an increase in ‘event convergence’ enquiries throughout the winter and spring, that gives it confidence coming into the summer.

Tower of London welcomes 120 guests to its Spring Fling showcase event

The Tower of London, one of the six venues cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, welcomed 120 guests to an exclusive showcase event last week (19 April).  
The theme for the evening was ‘Spring Fling’, with the Tower of London team showcasing the versatility of the venue’s event spaces with engaging contemporary theming and unique staging, all of which helped to  communicate the many different event concepts possible at the Tower.

It's picnic time for delegates

Athenaeum, Bury St Edmunds
One of Bury St Edmunds’ best loved venues is encouraging bookers to step outside and mix business with pleasure this summer.  
From mid-May until the end of August the Grade I listed Athenaeum is offering a special summer package to corporate clients.  
And along with room hire, wifi, refreshments, stationery, and pre-bookable parking, delegates will be given a picnic lunch in the nearby Abbey Gardens.

RIBA North opens its doors to Liverpool event planners with a Bauhaus Business Breakfast

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) showed off its Liverpool event space last week (Thursday morning 19th April) with a Bauhaus Business Breakfast.
A selection of event organisers from sectors such as construction, architecture, marketing, local government and education attended the Bauhaus-inspired waterfront venue for the morning event.
