Vienna sets standard for virtual events hosting European Radiology Congress exclusively online

The European Congress of Radiology (ECR) is Europe's largest congress for radiology and radiotechnology. It was held exclusively online for the first time from July 15-19, 2020, due to the international coronavirus travel restrictions – and was able to welcome more than 15,000 participants from around the world.

Business Events Perth secures world’s largest marine mammal conference

In a major win for Western Australia, the world’s largest marine mammal conference will converge in Perth in 2023, bringing thousands of marine experts from around the world, injecting $10 million into the local economy.
Business Events Perth chief executive Gareth Martin said he was delighted to announce that Business Events Perth had delivered the successful bid to bring the 25th Biennial Conference on the Biology of Marine Mammals to Perth in December 2023.

Rick Stein's Marlborough restaurant to reopen following 25% reduction in rent by landlord

Following the announcement that the Rick Stein Marlborough restaurant would be forced to close for good, the landlord has come forward and agreed a reduction in rent to save the business.
In June 2020, it was announced that the restaurant would be forced to close its doors permanently, due to the increased financial strain during a period of lockdown following the outbreak of COVID-19.

In exactly two years’ time, the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games will begin, and organisers are marking this major milestone on the countdown to the Games by unveiling Smithfield, with its impressive city-scape backdrop, as the chosen location to create two bespoke arenas side by side to stage the 3x3 basketball and beach volleyball competitions.
