Visit the mia Pavilion at The Meetings Show 2018

Best practice will be the theme of the Meetings Industry Association’s (mia) Pavilion at this year’s The Meetings Show.
Once again, the mia will be inviting its AIM accredited venues, suppliers and destinations to showcase their businesses and services to the industry, when the show returns to Olympia London 27-28 June.

AIM accredited venues, destination and suppliers, including 1 Wimpole Street, Elite Hotels, British Airways i360, Congress Centre, London Stock Exchange, Kia Oval, Conference English Riviera, Staffordshire Conference Bureau, Wembley Stadium and Hospitality Guaranteed, will be demonstrating how the UK’s only benchmark assessing quality and professionalism against strict criteria, provides huge peace of mind to buyers.

AIM is the nationally-recognised standard for venues and service providers in the meetings, conferences and events industry. The assessment ensures venues are fit for purpose and implement decent and ethical operations covering everything from facilities and legal compliances to performance against a strict code of conduct.

Visitors to the mia Pavilion will also be able to learn about miaTouchstone – the association’s online research tool which enables users to benchmark their own business and implement intelligent pricing strategies based on factual market intelligence and data.

Jane Longhurst, chief executive of the mia, said: “We are thrilled to be involved with The Meetings Show again. Each year the show provides a great opportunity for us to meet with buyers from across the industry face-to-face and find out about both their current challenges as well as the opportunities for the year ahead.”

She added: “The show also allows us to spread the word about our work; promoting operational excellence and business planning underpins much of the activity we undertake. In particular, we’ll be offering delegates the opportunity to learn and sign-up to receive a synopsis of the annual results from miaTouchstone.”

The two-day show will welcome more than 2,300 event planners, from associations and agencies to the corporate and public sectors, along with more than 700 individual exhibitors from around the world. The show is the leading event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry and is the only industry event in the UK with a hosted buyer programme, providing exhibitors with the opportunity to book pre-arranged appointments with key buyers.
