Taking place at the Frankfurter Messe from 12 to 14 May 2020, IMEX will once again be an exhilarating exhibition with something to inspire and update everyone in the global MICE sector.
There will be over 3,400 exhibitors from at least 170 countries.
But IMEX has now grown into something much more than an exhibition Even before the exhibition opens, the previous day, 11 May, will be EduMonday, totally dedicated to education for all levels of MICE professionals.
Throughout the whole IMEX 2020 event there will be opportunities for visitors to meet suppliers, to get abreast of the latest techniques and ideas and to network with experienced people in this specialised aspect of global business.
The 250 or more networking events will embrace Educational Seminars, Campfires (small informal sessions), an Agency Directors Forum, Expert Clinics, a Research Pod, an Exclusively Corporate get-together and a She Means Business meeting.
Naturally, IMEX 2020 will finish with an unrivalled Gala Dinner, where some of the new friendships and business connections can be cemented in a celebratory environment.
Hugh Robertson, MP Minister for Sport and Tourism added his backing to the Declaration of Support signed by 38 politicians from destinations all over the world attending the Politicians Forum held at IMEX last week.
The Forum, held on Wednesday 22 May, was moderated by Michael Hirst, Chair of the Business Visits and Events Partnership (BVEP). The breakfast networking session was chaired by Nick de Bois, MP, Chair of the UK government’s All Party Parliamentary Group while the UK was also represented by Councillor Wendy Simon, from Liverpool City Council.
Last night, the EU2012 Logistics Team and its Danish Sustainable Events Initiative (DSEI) partners collected the IMEX Green Meetings Award 2013. It is the second time in three years that the Danes take home the prestigious award given in recognition of their focused and innovative sustainability achievements in the meetings industry.
Within the scope of their collaboration “KÖLNDÜSSELDORF – The Meetropolis”, the two Rhine metropolises provide information about what they have to offer and jointly market themselves as a conference region. From 21st – 23rd May 2013 the two cities will be presenting themselves jointly at the IMEX in Frankfurt, the world’s most important trade fair for the MICE industry, which brings together over 3,500 exhibitors from more than 150 countries, and attracts around 9,000 visitors.
In view of the growing demands for Malaysia as the preferred global meetings destination, the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) took the opportunity to launch its new Conference Mobile Application and Delegates Privilege Card at the Worldwide Exhibition for Incentive Travel, Meetings and Events (IMEX) Frankfurt 2013. Both products which form part of the Delegate Welcome Kit aims to provide destination information to further facilitate business events delegates as well as to award international delegates with special privileges.
