As the UK flagship of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), IET London: Savoy Place is one of the UK’s leading venues for STEM events (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) and welcomes many high-profile partners and brands from the STEM sector each year.
The team will be on the VisitEngland stand, delivering three presentations on the tech hacks all event organisers should know about, from top tips on what microphones make all the difference, to the questions they should be asking about Wi-Fi, and many more ways they can use the venue’s tech to brand their next event.
The prestation’s will take place at 11am on Tuesday 21 May, 11am on Wednesday 22 May and 12am on Thursday 23 May at England Pavilion stand F340.
The expert staff, who together host 10,000 events a year, will also be showcasing the venue’s state of the art technology and AV capabilities. The venue has had continuous investment keeping its digital infrastructure at its core, with upgrades having been made to the building, including the installation of new projection walls and pre-programmable lighting systems to ensure the AV offerings are kept up to date and can cope with future trends.
IET London: Savoy Place has a digital ‘fibre core’ infrastructure embedded throughout, a 500MB bandwidth, available up to 2GB capacity allows numerous events to run concurrently through Wi-Fi (2000 IP address and multiple VPNs), while streaming capabilities mean the two lecture theatres can be linked, almost doubling the number of guests able to view a conference or event to 626.
Located at England Pavilion stand F340, the team will be taking bookings from Tuesday 23 April for buyers interested in meeting with them.
