Nantes, creative and sustainable destination, at IMEX Frankfurt

Nantes Giant Elephant
Famous throughout the world, the Giant Elephant and the Machines reflect the creative spirit in Nantes. They also reflect the ability of Nantes Saint-Nazaire to make things happen in a city that takes a bold approach to innovation and creativity.

Located in western France, easily accessible by plane, two hours from Paris and from most European capitals, with a large, high quality hotel offering featuring more than 9,000 hotel rooms, Nantes stands out as a destination that is both creative and sustainable, with a signature style for business travel in France.

The Sunday Times recently published an article under the headline "Nantes, the loopiest city in France!". Much to our delight! The marvellous Journey to Nantes with its fantastic machines and urban itinerary showcases Nantes as a thriving, amazing city. With activities ranging from a ride on a Giant Elephant to meetings or gatherings in the most contemporary architectural sites of the Creative arts District, A Journey to Nantes team creates weird and wonderful experiences that participants will remember for years to come.

Nantes, sustainable destination par excellence
Green Capital of Europe 2013, Nantes makes sustainable development a key aspect of its business tourism offering. With nearly half the hotel rooms distinguished by an eco-label, Nantes Saint-Nazaire is poised to become the first urban eco-destination in France.

The same is true for the main venues, which are eco-certified and meet international standards. Certified ISO 9001, confirmed under ISO 26000, member of the Quality and Sustainable Development Charter spearheaded by France Congrès, La Cité Nantes Events Center has established itself as the only convention centre in France certified Gold level under AIPC Quality Standards to so successfully address the issues of social and environmental responsibility. Similarly, located amidst lush greenery, Exponantes Park is the 1st exhibition centre in Europe to obtain ISO 14001 certification.

As an illustration of the ability of local actors to work together, A Journey to Nantes and La Cité Nantes Events Center will be joined this year by two hotels: Radisson Blu, a unique setting in a renovated 19th century courthouse, and Westhotel with its integrated business complex.
