Good start to New Year after successful 2013

Keele University is licking its lips over an event contract it has just been awarded. It has been chosen to host this year’s Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards.
This is a great start to 2014 after a successful 2013 for the academic venue when it welcomed 125,000 visitors and accommodated more than 17,300 wedding and banquet guests.

‘Make It Yours’ campaign uses The CCD as a canvas

Friday 31 January is last day for entries

Dublin’s landmark is The Convention Centre Dublin. This, literally, outstanding building on the banks of the River Liffey has been offered as a canvas on which any event organiser has been invited to play with their imagination. In November 2013 Elaine Phillips, Head of Marketing & Communications launched the interactive campaign under the heading of ‘Make It Yours’. The project closes on Friday, January 31 2013, but hundreds of entries have been received.

Over 100 Platinum Members-representatives of FCCA's exclusive membership program and crucial stakeholders in the cruise and tourism industry-joined over 30 FCCA Member Line cruise executives from January 23-27 aboard Princess Cruises' Ruby Princess-site of the PAMAC Cruise Summit and a hub to discuss trends; develop ideas; promote and pitch their products and destinations; and develop lasting and worthwhile business relationships with some of the most significant decision makers in the industry.

SECC Burns Night at the Natural History Museum
Last week (23 January) an invited audience of 230 guests enjoyed the annual Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre Glasgow (SECC) Burns Supper at the Natural History Museum in London.


Hosted for the first time at the historic London venue, the evening paid a fitting and entertaining tribute to Scottish Bard, Robert Burns.

David Muñoz hits the streets of London Spring 2014

Spain’s newest three Michelin starred chef, David Muñoz, brings acclaimed restaurant StreetXo to the heart of Mayfair, London.

David Muñoz, chef and creator of Madrid’s three Michelin starred DiverXo and urban hotspot StreetXo, will bring his street-food inspired StreetXo to London – June 2014. This will be the celebrated maverick chef’s first restaurant outside of Spain and a return to London, the city that inspired his cooking style.
