The Sustainable Event Summit has completely eliminated badge wastage by using RefTech’s industry-leading fast-track entry system. It is estimated that around half of badges mailed out before an event are wasted, but the RefTech system eliminates all wastage by emailing attendees a unique barcode which they bring to the event on their smartphone, have it scanned and then the badge is printed on demand in a matter of seconds

Research report proves that fun aids business

Study commissioned by Alton Towers Resort

New research released last week, undertaken by post-graduate business students at Sheffield Hallam University, has proven fun is a key influence for successful work related learning.
  The report, commissioned by Alton Towers Resort, brings together results from a survey of over 100 employees from small start-ups through to large, established organisations. The questions were chosen following a focus group, which identified key elements, factors and perceptions associated with work related learning.

Grand Canyon celebrates seven successful years

The Skywalk glass bridge - owned and operated by the Grand Canyon West Corporation’s Hualapai Tribe - has attracted thousands of new and repeat visitors to the west rim of the Grand Canyon near Las Vegas since it opened to international fanfare on 28th March, 2007.
Located 4,000 feet above the Colorado River and Canyon floor and weighing over 1.2 million pounds, it took more than one million pounds of steel and 83,000 pounds of glass to construct. The bridge is 25 feet wide overall and extends in a horse-shoe shape 70 feet over the rim of the canyon.

$200 million of business events in Sydney for 2014

2014 is a strong year for business events in Sydney with close to 53,000 delegates expected to spend over 230,000 days in the city delivering an economic impact (EI) of close to $200 million to the New South Wales (NSW) economy.
