Charismatic Michelin-trained Chef Director, Stephen Bulmer, runs a tantalising range of cookery courses at luxury castle hotel, Swinton Park. The school is in the hotel’s converted Georgian stables at the recently refurbished state of the art demonstration kitchen, with spectacular views across to the castle turret and parkland. Long a favourite for budding chefs, the school offers an extensive programme of day, evening, weekend and two-day courses throughout the year for all ages and abilities.

British Weight Lifting confirms Ricoh Arena will be the new home of the British National Championships

British Weight Lifting has confirmed a new long-term partnership with the Ricoh Arena which will see the Midlands venue host the British National Championships for the next three years, starting in 2014 with the dates confirmed for May 10-11.
The championships will be a real celebration of the sport, with the men’s and women’s competitions taking place alongside the IPC Powerlifting Championships for the first time ever. This means all of the country’s best lifters in the same place, at the same time, for the first time ever in the history of the sport in the United Kingdom.

BMIHT wins support from Heritage Lottery Fund for a £4 million project

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust, based at the Heritage Motor Centre at Gaydon, Warwickshire has been awarded a Round Two grant of £1.45 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for its Museum Collections Centre project, it was announced yesterday. The award is the culmination of more than 2 years work to develop plans for a new building in which to store and display more than 200 historic British cars from the collections of both the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust and its partner the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust.

Honouring regional convention ambassadors in Maastricht

Last Saturday, during The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF), again a meeting took place of the Maastricht convention ambassador club Amici ad Mosam. 50 Attendees, including 20 Amici with partners, came together in MECC Maastricht to attend lectures, for networking and to visit TEFAF. Additionally, alderman Aarts honoured a number of Amici to thank them for their efforts as convention ambassadors of Maastricht & region.

Peter de Savary, Ambassador for Inward Investment, hosts Oscar Winner Steve McQueen, in Grenada, West Indies

Academy Award Director Steve McQueen returned to his roots at the weekend, and spent time relaxing in Grenada where his Mother was born. McQueen fresh from the Oscars, where he was honoured with an Academy Award for Best Film "Twelve Years A Slave", was hosted at a party given by Grenada's Ambassador for Inward Investment, Peter de Savary, at his Grenadian home Azzurra Castle. de Savary hosted the party to congratulate and show Grenada's appreciation to McQueen for his outstanding achievement.
