50,000 spiders arrive in Coventry

Tarantula
Over 50,000 spiders, scorpions and other insects will be on display at the Ricoh Arena in May for an event likened to ‘The Crufts of The Spider World'.
The British Tarantula Society (BTS) is staging its 29th annual exhibition which will attract visitors from as far away as America and Europe from 11am until 4pm on Sunday, May 18.

Durban ICC doubles intake for skills development programmes

Building on the success of its two skills development programmes in 2013 the Durban International Convention Centre (Durban ICC) has doubled its intake this year to provide even more opportunities for young people in South Africa’s tourism industry. The Durban ICC designed its Graduate and Student Programmes to address the need for young people to gain essential skills and first-hand working experience in the industry.

Mayor outlines vision to make London the tech capital of the world

The Mayor Boris Johnson today (Thursday, March 13) outlined his vision to make London the tech capital of the world and drive jobs and growth across the city.
Tech City, the heart of London’s tech sector, has become the biggest cluster in Europe over the last three years, growing out of east London to span the entire capital. The sector currently reaches as far as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, which has more than a million square feet of space and will be ripe both for new start-ups and more established corporations. The Mayor wants Tech City to inspire even more companies of all sizes to call London home.
