Las Vegas MICE Goes Green: The world’s first venue to receive a level two certification to ASTM Standard

Las Vegas is one of the most rapidly developing MICE destinations in the world, and in true cutting edge Las Vegas style, it is now home to the first venue in the world to achieve the advanced "level two" industry certification for environmentally sustainable meetings, events, trade shows and conferences.  The award winning meetings complex in question is the Sands Expo and Congress Center located at The Venetian and The Palazzo in Las Vegas.

Sydney’s $1bn ICC secures financial backing

NSW assesses economic benefits at $200m a year

Financial backing is now in place, it has been announced, for the development of a $1bn International Convention Centre in Sydney, Australia. The ICC Sydney will be located at Darling Harbour and operated by the venue management company AEG Ogden.

First independent business centre to open at Heathrow Terminal 5

Heathrow and Regus, the global workspace provider, have today announced plans to develop the first independent business centre at the UK’s hub airport, with Regus Express set to open at Terminal 5 this summer.
The move responds to a growing demand for ‘third place’ work locations where business travellers can check their emails, hold conference calls and meetings and print documents. Regus Express will offer a quiet, professional business lounge with a co-working space, private workstations, to be known as ‘ThinkPods’ and secure WiFi, as well as meeting rooms available by the hour.

Science Museum partners with New York Hall of Science

Science Museum and New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) have announced a strategic partnership between both venues.
The transatlantic partnership has been formed to create an easy route for simultaneous conferences and events between London and New York City head offices. The initiative will be cross promoted to the venues’ strong shared client base within the scientific, pharmaceutical and technology sectors. The partnership will see the Science Museum and the New York Hall of Science aim to acquire international awards ceremonies, large scale conferences and product launches on a bespoke basis.
