10,000 expected at Midlands fishing show

More than 10,000 visitors are expected to be hooked on fishing when the third Midlands Carp and Coarse Spectacular Show takes centre stage at the Ricoh Arena.
Talks from legendary carp anglers Darrell Peck, Terry Dempsey and Lee Jackson alongside book signings, slideshows and demonstrations in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall are set to attract the crowds to create a new record attendance for the show on Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9.

Damon Albarn to perform in QM Great Hall

Great Hall at Queen Mary University of London
Damon Albarn will play the iconic art-deco Great Hall at Queen Mary University of London for one of just two intimate dates in London to mark the launch of his first solo album Everyday Robots.
The multi-purpose 770 seat Great Hall reopened in 2013 following a multi-million pound refurbishment to restore it to its 1930s art-deco glory and will host the live show on the 1st May 2014.

Wyboston Lakes rated 'outstanding' in Sunday Times ‘Best Companies’ survey

Conference, training and leisure venue Wyboston Lakes has achieved a two out of a possible three-star rating in the prestigious Sunday Times ‘Best Companies’ accreditation standard. The two-star status, awarded on the basis of employee feedback, means that the venue is considered an ‘outstanding’ employer in terms of the way it engages with its staff.

ACC Liverpool to welcome thousands of diabetes healthcare professionals

ACC Liverpool is set to welcome thousands of experts to the Diabetes UK Professional Conference 2014, one of the UK’s largest healthcare meetings.
Around 3,000 professionals and scientists will attend the three day event at the venue, home to BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, from March 5 to 7.  It was last held at ACC Liverpool in 2010.

New £1.5M event and conference hall nears completion at the Kent Event Centre

A new £1.5 million conference and events facility is due to open at the Kent Event Centre near Maidstone this spring, strengthening its position as the largest and most flexible venue in the region.
The new single span building is already attracting business to the Detling site – the Kent Invicta Chamber of Commerce has chosen to use the space to host its annual Construction Expo in October 2014.
