PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2019 to be held in Pattaya, Thailand

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is set to organise the PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2019 (PDMF 2019) in Pattaya, Thailand from November 27 - 29. The announcement was made by PATA CEO Dr. Mario Hardy at the conclusion of the PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2018 (PDMF 2018) in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

Brisbane celebrates 40 years of business events and tourism

As Brisbane’s profile as a business events destination continues to soar, the city is celebrating the 40th anniversary of a body dedicated to attracting conventions and visitors to the city.
Established in 1978, the Brisbane Visitors and Convention Bureau merged into the city’s economic development board Brisbane Marketing in 2000.

Philadelphia to host 2018 Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) Conference

Largest gathering of Irish travel professionals; first time being hosted in the U.S.
From Wednesday 28th November until Saturday 1st December 2018, Philadelphia will serve as the first-ever U.S. host city for the 2018 Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) Annual Conference. Traditionally, this conference has been held exclusively in Europe. Due to increased airlift from Europe to Philadelphia International Airport and the targeted international strategy of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau’s (PHLCVB) Global Tourism team, Philadelphia was selected as the destination for this international conference.

Bruges welcomes 15th B.E.S.T. Congress in December 2018

Bruges is proud to welcome the 15th International B.E.S.T. Congress on the 3rd and 4th December 2018. More than 300 Bariatric surgeons from the whole continent will attend the congress at the Concertgebouw in Bruges.
The meeting is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest research and developments in bariatric and metabolic surgery. The main topic of this year’s B.E.S.T. (Bariatric Endoscopic Surgery Trends) meeting will be “A quest for algorithms in revisional bariatric-metabolic procedures”.  To deal with this issue, many distinguished and experienced surgeons have joined the Faculty.
