Barbican delivered key events for industry and consumers during London Tech Week

London Tech Week last month saw the Barbican host two key events aimed at audiences from across both commercial and consumer sectors.
The first, was the LeadersIn Tech Summit, the headline thought leadership event at London Tech Week.  Returning to London for the third year running, the event saw delegates gather to hear from industry experts from leading brands and organisations.

Organisers ask employers to reduce work stress, survey from De-Stress Fest shows

Following the success of De-Stress Fest, the event industry’s first free well-being festival at The Royal Horticultural Halls in May, a survey sent to attendees was returned with a strong clear message. 100% of respondents want employers to do more to make their work less stressful.

Dubai sees 17% increase in delegate impact from business event bid wins in H1 2019

Dubai Business Events, the city’s official convention bureau, secures 118 bid wins during the first half of 2019
Dubai Business Events (DBE), the city’s official convention bureau, has recorded exceptional results during the first half of 2019, securing 118 successful bid wins for events to be hosted in Dubai over the coming years. These events won in H1 2019, including conferences, meetings and incentives, are set to attract 75,288 delegates from around the globe to Dubai over the coming years, representing growth of 17% on the delegate impact of bid wins from the same period in 2018.

Unique Venues of London and Stress Matters place wellbeing at the top of meetings agenda

Yesterday, Unique Venues of London members were treated to a special event focusing on wellbeing and mental health in the meetings industry.
Hosted in partnership with Stress Matters, The Royal College of Physicians and caterer CH&CO, the afternoon covered all aspects of these important subjects and how they relate to those working in the sector. Furthermore, the occasion concentrated on how organisers and venue managers can incorporate wellbeing into events to benefit delegates.
