The site, located on the edge of the spa town of Harrogate, has secured VoE membership in recognition of the venue’s versatility, catering capabilities and high-quality service. Opened in 1996, the venue houses 14 function rooms which between them cover 2,300 square meters of event space.
Situated within 250 acres of showground, the site - which invests its profits back into the Yorkshire Agricultural Society - hosts a variety of events each year, from conferences to charity balls, corporate meetings, public sales and exhibitions.
Fiona Stilborn, head of sales at Pavilions of Harrogate, said: “It’s fantastic to have secured Venues of Excellence accreditation, cementing our position as one of the region’s leading sites for a diverse range of meetings and events.
“We work very hard throughout the year to deliver the very best service for our visitors, and Venues of Excellence membership proves testimony to our team’s commitment.”
The accreditation adds to the royal seal of approval the venue has obtained from 11 Royal Family visits, including by the Queen herself during the Great Yorkshire Show held in the venue’s grounds.
Mandy Jennings, executive director at Venues of Excellence, said: “Pavilions of Harrogate is a fantastic venue that really stands out from the crowd and we are thrilled to welcome it into our portfolio.
“Its beautiful grounds and social responsibility make it no surprise that the Queen herself has ventured there and we have been equally impressed by the venue.
“The services offered by the team are of the highest quality, representing everything we look for in our search for excellence across the UK.”
Venues of Excellence awards membership accreditation to independent venues that meet and maintain a range of stringent high-quality standards across areas including facilities and customer service through to technology and environmental impact.
Pavilions of Harrogate’s accreditation adds to the rapid expansion of the consortium’s portfolio, which has almost doubled in size over the past year to include venues such as Lumley Castle Hotel, thestudio in Leeds, Altitude London and Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire.
