Electric Star Pubs celebrates 10th birthday

Electric Star Pubs property
Having recently opened their sixth venue to the capital’s north-east, Rob Star and the Electric Star Pubs group are set to celebrate their 10th Birthday. To mark the anniversary, one of their original sites, The Star of Bethnal Green has undergone a total refurbishment. The newly designed venue will host a series of epic celebratory events, which will be thrown from the 31st of March to 28th May, for their regulars and locals to get involved.

Since The Star of Bethnal Green opened in 2008, the industry has seen a number of changes. Despite this ever-changing landscape for regular pub-goers, the Electric Star Pub Group continues to raise the bar with an eclectic set of public houses, which caters for a wide range of customers, whilst also staying true to their local community and locations, evident by their ethos of “it’s the people that make the pubs”. As one of the first pubs to embrace the street food revolution, they are always at the cutting edge of food trends, currently hosting International DJ Seth Troxlers’ ‘Smokey Tails’ who have been resident at the Bethnal Green site since November 2017.

The star logo, which has become synonymous with all of Rob Star’s sites, has quickly become a symbol of welcoming and comfortable venues that offer an extensive beverage menu of local London products, fantastic food and unforgettable events. Over the past few months, Electric Star Pubs have completely refurbished the Bethnal Green site with brand new seating areas, including a gypsy caravan hidden under the stairs, bespoke lighting and a brand new upstairs bar area, making it the perfect space to hire for all occasions. Not to mention, the signature private karaoke room with bespoke wallpaper and a stage to perform your favourite tunes on.

Moreover, the group will boast a variety of events and entertainment to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. From March 31st, festivities will kick off at The Star of Bethnal Green, by hosting the perfect Bank Holiday weekend party. In the following months, expect a selection of karaoke nights, more of their award-winning quiz nights and of course, their annual Street Party in May.

Rob Star, Director of Electric Star Pubs, is beaming with anticipation of the group’s major milestone. “It has been an incredible journey over the last 10 years. We’ve opened six pubs, a street food market, put on several street parties and mini-festivals and provided amazing memories for thousands of people. We’re a pub that’s known for our parties, so we couldn’t let this go with just one event - we love giving back to our most loyal customers and our birthday will be no exception.”

If all that wasn’t enough, the team will also be launching an exclusive ‘Star Beer’ in collaboration with Camden Town Brewery. The beer will launch 25th April and will be available across all Star sites for a limited time.
