Former Secret Service Agent Evy Poumpouras to impart critical business and negotiation skills on Stadium Series audience

Evy Poumpouras
Evy Poumpouras, national security contributor, journalist, professor, former Secret Service agent, and faculty member of Corporate Training Institute, will be the keynote speaker at the inaugural Stadium Series event, organized by Questex Travel Group, which will be held November 15th at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.

Her presentation “Analyzing Human Behavior To Elicit Information,” will help the audience learn how to observe other negotiators across three dimensions—listening more and speaking less, adjusting to nonverbal clues, and gaining insight into people’s true motives by registering subtle shifts in vocal signifiers and body language. The benefits will extend beyond negotiations, to enhance personal and business relations, make them more attractive and engaging speakers, and enable them to draw out the best in others.

Poumpouras is a national security correspondent and multi-platform journalist regarding interview and investigative techniques. She is a former special agent of the United States Secret Service where she served for over 12 years. As an agent she conducted complex criminal investigations, undercover operations, and executed numerous arrest and search warrants. She has experience in bank and credit card fraud investigations, linguistic analysis, non-verbal behaviors, and security and protection.

Poumpouras was also an interrogator for theagency’s elite polygraph unit where she was trained by the Department of Defense in the art of lie detection. In addition, Poumpouras was a member of the Presidential Protection Detail for President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and has protected Former Presidents George H. Bush, William J. Clinton and George W. Bush. She is both a first responder and survivor of the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and was bestowed the Medal of Valor Award for her acts of heroism. She is one of only five women to ever receive the Valor Award by the United States Secret Service.

The first of its kind, the Stadium Series will bring Northeast US meeting planners and incentive buyers to meet one-to-one with global travel suppliers, in private luxury suites located on the SAP Suite Level at Yankee Stadium. Suppliers will include hotels, resorts, tour operators, destination management companies, and other unique meeting venues akin to the atypical stadium experience.

Questex’s Global Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchanges (GMITE) have proven to be successful by offering one-to-one meetings, top-of-the-line training, and networking opportunities for meeting and event-planning professionals, as well as incentive buyers.

A pillar of the GMITE brand, the Stadium Series will take the one-to-one concept out of the noisy ballrooms and move it into quiet, private suites, allowing suppliers the opportunity to conduct nearly a month’s worth of sales calls in just one day.
