Medieval Tournament at Arundel Castle

The perfect precursor to the sensational International Jousting and Medieval Tournament Week at Arundel Castle next month, the Medieval Tournament saw knights from up and down the country take up arms and compete under the oldest part of the Castle, with a large tented encampment covering the American Lawns.

Visitors were gripped by a series of powerful clashes using a range of weaponry, including pole arm weapons, single-handed swords and hand-and-a-half swords. For younger visitors there was also the opportunity to hone their bow and arrow skills, with have-a-go archery sessions throughout the weekend.

The next event at Arundel Castle will be the Norman Knight's Tournament on 09 - 10 July followed by the renowned International Jousting and Medieval Tournament Week (26 - 31 July).
