Guinness Storehouse opens new restaurant - 1837

Guinness Storehouse Dublin, 1837 Bar & Brasserie food
With the opening of its newest acclaimed restaurant, 1837 Bar & Brasserie – named after the year that the classic Guinness and oyster  pairing was born - the Guinness Storehouse Dublin has cemented its place as the ultimate 360° dining and drinking experience. Spanning seven-floors, the venue has been built to replicate the intricate layers of a pint of Guinness.

The Tasting Room provides a multi-sensory  journey while dedicated Beer Specialists unveil age-old secrets to the drink’s distinctive flavours, colour and the barrelling and distribution process.

Visitors can master the art of pouring the perfect pint of the black stuff in the Guinness Academy. For a more intimate experience, the Storehouse’s VIP Connoisseur Experience will take guests on a journey of traditions, stories and tastes from the privacy of the luxurious private bar, tucked away from the crowds.

From there, guests can sample local delicacies at one of the four restaurants available; Brewers’ Dining Hall, Gilroy’s Bar, Arthur Guinness Bar, for contemporary Irish dining, and the newly launched 1837, providing small plates, shared dishes, Oysters and innovative Guinness infused mains – including the Guinness burger and chocolate mousse -  with pairing suggestions. Recently crowned Europe’s top tourist attraction, the Storehouse is a must for anyone visiting the Irish capital.

How: Open everyday 9.30am to 7pm (last entry 5pm). From £16 per adult, which includes a complimentary pint of Guinness at the end of the tour. The Connoisseur VIP Experience starts from  £40 per person.
