Global Conference Network, organiser of the Conference Awards and London Venue Awards, has announced key speakers and subject sessions for its first Venue Summit which will launch on 13th May at The Brewery in London.
The Venue Summit, created for business professionals from conference centres, exhibition centres, hotels, business clubs and exhibition centres, is the UK’s first dedicated summit focusing on the opportunities and challenges facing the meetings and venues industry purely from a venue perspective.

Offering attendees a range of strategies and tactics to maximise the value of their venue, speakers will include; Alicia Duncan, General Manager of The Mermaid; Amanda Wrathall, Sales and Marketing Director from Edinburgh International Conference Centre; Anna Clover, Director of Venue Operations and Customer Experience at QEIICC and Alistair Stewart MD of etc Venues, among others.

Sessions will include a panel discussion from corporate end users discussing their criteria for choosing a venue, an overview of trends in the meetings industry from Natalie Wiseman, Client Services Director at the BDRC and a case study session from Sean Spencer, Head of Venues at IET, who will discuss how he made his venue unique.

Global Conference Network’s Co-Director, Claire Wormsley, says: “We are really excited about our packed programme of content and speakers for our very first Venue Summit. The event is a great opportunity for key players from leading industry venues to take away valuable insights from leading venues, corporate end users and the agency market covering topics relevant to all venues offering event space.”
