Caribbean Tourism Organization hosts travel trade roadshows across the UK & Ireland

As part of its continued growth plan, the Caribbean Travel Guru training programme, managed by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) will be hosting a number of trade roadshows across the UK and Ireland this year.   The roadshows will begin in Ireland, where the travel trade will be able to meet the CTO team and its partners in the cities of Dublin, Limerick and Cork. The roadshows are being organised, in partnership with and TTR, Ireland’s leading trade and media specialist.

CTO UK Chapter members, including Sandals, LIAT, Elite Island Resorts and Jewel Resorts, plus a large number of Tourist Boards from across the region, will be represented at the events and on hand to provide agents with support and information on the Caribbean’s diverse destinations, as well as activities and products.

Attendees will receive a welcome drink on arrival before taking part in the training sessions. In addition agents can enjoy some Caribbean food, win a pair of British Airways flights to Tobago from Gatwick at all the shows, as well as Virgin Atlantic flights from Gatwick to the Caribbean before savouring some traditional Caribbean rum.   The evening will start at 6pm and close at 9.30pm with the prize draw.

Carol Hay, director of marketing, CTO UK and Europe, said, “The Roadshows are a great way to share knowledge and discuss the Caribbean. They have always proved a great success and are a fantastic opportunity for agents and Chapter members to meet.  We hope to see as many agents as possible, from all regions in the UK and Ireland, and look forward to strengthening our relationship with the trade.”
