Royal ICC a health hub this month

Health and wellbeing continues to be a strong conference category with Brisbane’s newest convention centre – the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) - hosting a myriad of health-related events this month.
Celebrity mother and wellbeing guru Therese Kerr (mother of Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr) will headline a “Wellness in the Golden Years” Expo for Seniors this Friday.

Australia’s most popular GP seminar Group Healthed hosted its Annual Women’s and Children’s Health Update conference on June 20 while Medicare Local’s Metro North branch together with Metro North Hospital staged its second annual Metro North Health Forum on June 17.

Royal ICC General Manager Venue Sales and Marketing Sally Pulford said this month the Royal ICC was the meeting place for hundreds of Australian health and medical professionals and senior citizens.

“With our ageing population and the ever increasing focus on health and wellbeing, health-related meetings and expos are on the rise across the country,” Ms Pulford said.

"The Royal ICC is delighted to be the venue of choice for this growing event category and is certainly a hub for the health industry in June.

“Education will be the theme for July as the Royal ICC hosts the Tertiary Studies Expo and the Queensland Education Resources Expo next month,’’ she said.

Since opening in March, 2013 the Royal ICC has held more than 300 events and has had the honour of hosting Her Royal Highness, the Princess Royal (Princess Anne) at the 26th Commonwealth Agricultural Conference and Hollywood superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Queensland Real Estate Agents' Summit 2015.

The Royal ICC is located 1.5km from Brisbane’s CBD at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
