80 people attended the event, which saw guests treated to a VIP after-dark tour of the London Dungeon, before a welcome reception and two course dinner in the Riverside Rooms courtesy of venue caterers, Food by Dish.
Showcasing the venues new corporate packages, those brave enough were taken on an interactive walk-through tour of the London Dungeon. Here they met some of London’s most infamous characters including Mrs Lovett in her pie shop, Fleet Street barber Sweeney Todd and notorious killer Jack the Ripper.
Shaken guests were then taken to the Riverside Rooms for networking and a drinks reception where venue caterers Food by Dish served a selection of specially created hybrid canapés. The sweet looking savoury bites, unveiled for the first time as part of their new summer menus, included Eton mess pizza, raspberry macaroons with foie gras parfait and hot dog éclairs.
Mrs Lovett made another special appearance and called guests to dinner in the Dungeon inspired dining room for a two course meal of boned roast guinea fowl with baby spring vegetable and duchess potatoes, followed by crème brûlée with a raspberry and basil salad and raspberry consommé.
Gareth McTiffin, marketing and events manager of Merlin Events London, commented: “We had a great turn out last night and it was a brilliant opportunity not just to showcase the Riverside Rooms but to present our exclusive corporate packages and event offering. With optional add-on tours of the London Dungeon or London Eye, the Riverside Rooms will become unique for events and allow us to meet the increasing demand for enquiries.”
Organisers hiring the Riverside Rooms can take advantage of exclusive package add-ons including an after hour’s tour of the London Dungeon or VIP experience on the Coca-Cola London Eye.
