RIBA Venues to host the Gemmological Association of Great Britain annual conference

RIBA Venues has announced it has won the contract to host  the Gemmological Association of Great Britain’s (Gem-A) annual Conference 2015 incorporating the 18th International Federation of European Education in Gemmology (FEEG) Symposium from 21 – 22 November 2015.
The event will take place in the venue’s Jarvis Hall and is expected to attract over 250 gemmologists, jewellers and diamond experts from across the globe. 

In a change to the association’s conference of previous years, the event has partnered with the 18th International FFEG Symposium to bring together two prestigious events in the gemmological calendar, under one roof. Organisers hope that the incorporation of these two events will encourage Gem-A members and students from around the world to network and make connections with their European counterparts.  

Gem-A’s CEO James Riley says: “The decision to host this year’s annual conference at RIBA Venues was a straight forward one: Not only is the venue spectacular in its design and conception, but the auditorium, social and dining spaces are ideal for the kind of conference we offer and will fully meet expectations of our students and members. We also look forward to inviting the FEEG delegates to join us in this spectacular venue as an exhibit of great British architecture.”
