The racecourse is one of Britain’s leading tracks and is also a thriving conference and events venue, hosting a huge range of activities including weddings, concerts, and conferences for 20 to 1,000 attendees for a wide spectrum of businesses and organisations in stunning surroundings.
AIM was created in 2007 by a thorough consensus-based process involving meetings industry professionals from top organisations, industry bodies and purchasing buyers. The accreditation covers the essential compliance, competencies and capabilities that meetings and events venues, and suppliers, should adhere to in their everyday operations.
By receiving the AIM accreditation, Newbury Racecourse has demonstrated exceptional standards against quality assurance criteria, including assessments focusing on facilities, service and processes, compliance with codes of conduct and corporate social responsibility.
Commenting on receiving the accreditation, Newbury Racecourse’s Conference and Events Business Development Manager, Sarah Birch, said: “At Newbury Racecourse we are passionate about providing the best experience to all of our customers. In order to help us achieve the highest levels of customer service in the meetings and events industry, we look forward to the many benefits the racecourse will take from its membership of the mia and the AIM accreditation.”
Nick Milne, Chair AIM Development Group, commented: “Accreditations show an assurance of excellence and set venues apart from their competitors. By achieving AIM, Newbury Racecourse demonstrates a kitemark of quality and standard as well as their dedication to excellence and compliance.”
AIM is the UK’s only nationally recognised quality standard for the meetings, conferences and events industry. The accreditation is endorsed by Visit Britain, Visit Wales, Meet England, ABPCO, MPI and HBAA.
