The RCP was awarded the Gold Status, meeting the high standards of a rigorous Code of Sustainability and achieving over 85% adherence to the code which included 60 tenets in the following areas:
• Education, Awareness and Public Declaration • Waste Management • Recycling • Reuse • Water Conservation • Purchasing • Energy Management • Air Quality • Food & Beverage

The Royal College of Physicians General Manager Clive Ostler says: “We’re delighted to have achieved such great results in the IACC Green Star programme. We always strive to minimise our carbon footprint and make sure we are as environmentally responsible as possible so it’s great to be recognised for this. We are proud members of IACC and we’re delighted to see that the association is encouraging sustainable practice amongst its member venues with such a rigorous code.”
