The Mermaid shows its character

The Mermaid let loose a newly developed motion graphic film last week at International Confex. The motion picture showed a new side to both the team at The Mermaid and the venue itself as it was bought to life, in a stylish moving motion graphic.
The picture received a huge response from event professionals, keen to get to know the venue better and understand the sheer scale, flexibility, and hidden surprises it contains. The video demonstrates the many different uses and configurations of the venue, from its stunning River Rooms, to its iconic theatre.

“Everyone knows The Mermaid, but not everyone knows the full scale of events we can do, the different rooms we have, and the little secrets that we can pull out of our hat” comments Alicia Duncan, General Manager. “Equally, we’re really proud of our team and the quality of work they deliver, they always bring a little magic dust to an event. We’re really proud of our little production because it does just that.”

The Mermaid also took visitors at the exhibition back 20 years with a single handed resurrection of the paper origami fortune tellers we all used on the playground. Each visitor to The Mermaid was  able to find out the type of event organiser they are through the magic of folded paper.

“This is a crowded market place, and we’re always looking to do something genuinely different from what is out there at the moment. We had some great meetings at both exhibitions last week, and the video helped us get across more than just our venue floor plan, but a little bit of us as well!”
