Renowned Italian Chef Antonio Guida to cook at award-winning L’Anima Restaurant, LondonFor one day only on Tuesday 27 January, acclaimed Italian Chef and newly appointed Executive Chef at the soon to be opened Mandarin Oriental, Milan, Antonio Guida, will cook a special Italian menu at award-winning L’Anima restaurant in the heart of London’s City.
Inspired by the flavours of Italy’s design and fashion capital, Chef Guida will prepare a special 3 course menu for lunch and a 4 course menu for dinner. Dishes created by Chef Guida will include Spigola Affogata, Sedano Rapa e Ravigote con Salsa ai Frutti di Mare (Seabass, Celeriac and Ravigote with a Sea Food Sauce) and Ravioli Farciti con Humus, Vongole, Salsa di Peperoni e Caprino (Ravioli filled with Humus, Clams, Pepper and a Goats’ Cheese Sauce).
Chef Guida is Executive Chef at Mandarin Oriental, Milan, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group’s much anticipated first launch in Italy, due to open in spring 2015. Designed by Antonio Citterio as a stylish and intimate hotel featuring 104 guestrooms including 31 suites, Mandarin Oriental, Milan will be housed in the re-development of three elegant 19th Century buildings, ideally located on Via Monte di Pietà, one of Milan’s most prestigious addresses.
Raised in Puglia in Southern Italy, Antonio Guida has always been fascinated by the world of culinary alchemy, which has defined his career. Following extensive travels in Europe and Asia, Chef Guida worked at various Michelin starred restaurants including Pierre Gagnaire in Paris, Enoteca Pinchiorri in Florence and Don Alfonso in Sant’ Agata sui due Golfi. Guida joined Il Pellicano as Executive Chef in 2002 where he gained two Michelin stars in 2004 and 2010 and entered the list of renowned Italian restaurants, conquering the much lauded three forks of the acclaimed Italian guide Gambero Rosso.
