Butlins invests £240,000 in award winning AV technology

Butlins has stepped it up in the technology stakes, by investing £240,000 in AV equipment and award winning technology across all three of its coastal resorts in the last year. Setting a new precedence for UK venues, the brand becomes one of the first British companies to install Q spot equipment and the award winning Clay Paky B-eye lighting - the same light technology used at the world famous Super Bowl half time show.

Not just for holiday and entertainment purposes, the state-of-the-art equipment forms yet another addition to the ever growing conference and events offering across the resorts, following the £180,000 investment in Bognor Regis’ Shoreline Conference Centre in 2013, and over £5 million worth of investment in venues across all three resorts this year alone.

The fact that the technology is already onsite and under one roof means companies do not need to hire additional equipment in for their events, and everything can be included in one overarching 24 hour package. As well as the equipment itself, the resorts will have an expert technician team on hand at all times.

Spread across all three resorts the brand has invested £150,000 in Centre Stage lighting, which includes the installment of the award winning  Clay Paky A.Leda B-Eye K10 Moving Light, Martin Rush MH2 Wash Moving Light, Chauvet Q-Spot 560z Moving Light, Chauvet Q-Wash 419z Moving Light and Chauvet Rogue R2 Spot In addition to the new lighting technology, Butlins have also made a £20,000 investment in the Centre Stage sound desk at Skegness, and a £70,000 investment across all three resorts’ Skylines for LED screens and software.

Simon Jones, UK National Sales Manager Butlins Events comments; “It’s hugely exciting to be able to offer the best technology and equipment to event planners looking to hold events at our resorts. At Butlins we are known for leading the way in service and hospitality, and it’s fantastic that we are now also leading the way in technology - an ever increasingly important aspect for conferences, incentives and events”
